    AMD (NYSE: AMD) today announced immediate availability of AMD Core Math Library (ACML) V1.0 for the AMD OpteronTM processor and other AMD64-based platforms. In cooperation with Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG), AMD now offers a development tool that helps increase code accuracy and speed of delivery for improved performance of 32- and 64-bit x86 applications and systems.

    The world's leading provider of mathematical and statistical algorithms, the Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG), announce the next phase in their technology partnership with Waterloo Maple Inc, the leading provider of comprehensive mathematical exploration and application software for research, education, and industry. Building on an already strong and productive partnership, the two industry leaders will collaborate to integrate respective numerical algorithms. Upon completion, users will be able to solve a significantly greater range of mathematical problems at state of the art speeds.

    NAG announces numerical library optimized for AMD platforms to speed numerical computations
    The world's leading provider of mathematical and statistical algorithms, the Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG), are delighted to announce joint work with AMD to produce a core numerical library optimized for existing and upcoming AMD processors including the AMD Opteron™ and AMD Athlon™ 64 processors. The AMD Core Math library (ACML) will initially incorporate BLAS, LAPACK and FFT routines, which can be used by a wide range of software developers to obtain excellent performance from their applications running on AMD platforms.
