This implementation is applicable to computer systems described in section 2.1 of the Installer's Note (see Installer's Note, Applicability).
Additional information related to this implementation, that has come to light after the release of this product, is described below.
The DLLs in this implementation may be called from g95 in exactly the
same way as they are called from gfortran. Character strings must be
passed in the same way, and the modified example programs for gfortran
are equally applicable to g95.
See Users' Note, Calling the DLLs from GNU
gfortran for details.
In addition to the formats mentioned in section 6 of the Users' Note, the NAG Fortran Library Manual is available as an HTML Help file. This is a single 12.4 MB file.
Note: due to Windows security restrictions the Help file may not be
read directly from the Internet. Save a copy to your local disk, and
then read the local copy. Also, depending on the Windows version
you use, you may need to unblock files copied from the Internet
before they may be used (right click on the Help file and select
properties then select the "unblock" button).
A new Visual Basic .NET (VB.NET) header file has been generated which is more appropriate for use within the .NET environment. Full details (including a download link) are available via the link below:
The header file described here is suitable for use with Visual Studio .NET 2003 and later. The VB6/VBA header file for use with Visual Basic 6 and Visual Basic for Applications is unchanged.
