It provides implementation-specific detail that augments the information provided in the NAG fl90 Manual. NAG recommends that users read the following minimum reference material before calling any library procedure: .in +5 .ti -4 (a) Essential Introduction .ti -4 (b) Chapter Introduction .ti -4 (c) Module Document .ti -4 (d) Implementation-specific Users' Note .in -5 Items (a), (b) and (c) are included in the NAG fl90 Manual; item (d) is this document. Each NAG fl90 site is supplied with at least one copy of each of the above. Items (a) and (d) are provided in man page form. .SH "General Information" .SS "Accessing the Library" To access the modules library and the object libraries a user should use the command: module load nagfl90 after loading the regular programming modules. The user can then compile and link to the NAG fl90 library in the following manner: f90 driver.f90 -lnagfl90 or f90 driver.f90 -lnagfl90_noblas where driver.f90 is the user's application program. The first command will use the BLAS and LAPACK procedures as provided by NAG, while the second command will use the BLAS and LAPACK procedures from the Cray libsci.a library. Using the first command while the Cray libsci.a library is accessible may result in some warning messages from the loader regarding duplicate entries. .SS "Example Programs" The example programs, data and the results obtained during the preparation of this specific implementation are supplied so you can try them yourself, or use one as a template for your own program. Note that the example material has been adapted, if necessary, from that printed in the NAG fl90 Manual, so that programs are suitable for execution with this implementation. Please note that although this is a single precision implementation, the published example programs are all in double precision. To convert them to single precision, you need change only the definition of the named constant (wp) and the names of any precision-dependent derived types defined by the Library (see the Example Programs section in the Essential Introduction document). The example programs are most easily accessed by the commands nagexample and nagexample_noblas, which will provide you with a copy of an example program (and its data, if any), compile the program and link it with the library (showing you the compile command so that you can recompile your own version of the program). Finally, the executable program will be run, presenting its output to stdout. The example program concerned is specified by the argument to nagexample or nagexample_noblas, e.g. nagexample nag_lib_support_ex01 or nagexample_noblas nag_lib_support_ex01 will copy the example program into the file nag_lib_support_ex01.f90 in the current directory and process it to produce the example program results. Further usage details may be obtained by issuing the command nagexample or nagexample_noblas without arguments. .SS "On-line User Documentation" The following information is available in man page form: .nf Essential Introduction - nag_fn_essint Tutorial - nag_fn_tutorial Conversion from the NAG Fortran 77 Library - nag_fn_conversion List of Contents - nag_fn_contents Future Developments - nag_fn_future Release 3 News - nag_fn_news Users' Note - nag_fn_un .fi Most of the above documents are also available as HTML pages. .SH "Special Functions" The constants referred to in the NAG fl90 Manual have the following values in this implementation: .nf nag_gamma error%code = 201 if X > 965.0 error%code = 202 if abs(X) < 1.47E-2465 nag_log_gamma error%code = 201 if X > 4.81E+2461 nag_erfc x(hi) = 75.3 x(low) = -6.25 nag_erf x(hi) = 6.25 nag_bessel_y0 error%code = 201 if X > 3.3E+7 nag_bessel_y1 error%code = 202 if X > 3.3E+7 error%code = 201 if 0.0 < X <= 1.47E-2465 nag_bessel_y error%code = 201 if abs(Z) < 1.09E-1232 error%code = 202 if abs(Z) or NU+N-1 > 3.35E+7 error%code = 203 if abs(Z) or NU+N-1 > 5790.0 nag_bessel_j0 error%code = 201 if abs(X) > 3.3E+7 nag_bessel_j1 error%code = 201 if abs(X) > 3.3E+7 nag_bessel_j error%code = 201 if imag(Z) > 5670.0 error%code = 202 if abs(Z) or NU+N-1 > 3.35E+7 error%code = 203 if abs(Z) or NU+N-1 > 5790.0 nag_bessel_k1 error%code = 201 if 0.0 < X <= 1.47E-2465 nag_bessel_k error%code = 201 if abs(Z) < 1.09E-1232 error%code = 202 if abs(Z) or NU+N-1 > 3.35E+7 error%code = 203 if abs(Z) or NU+N-1 > 5790.0 nag_bessel_i0 error%code = 201 if abs(X) > 5679.0 nag_bessel_i1 error%code = 201 if abs(X) > 5678.0 nag_bessel_i error%code = 201 if real(Z) > 5670.0 error%code = 202 if abs(Z) or NU+N-1 > 3.35E+7 error%code = 203 if abs(Z) or NU+N-1 > 5790.0 nag_ell_rd error%code = 201 if an argument < 1.177E-1643 nag_ell_rj error%code = 201 if an argument < 2.495E-822 nag_airy_ai error%code = 203 if abs(Z) > 322.0 error%code = 204 if abs(Z) > 1.04E+5 nag_airy_bi error%code = 203 if abs(Z) > 322.0 error%code = 204 if abs(Z) > 1.04E+5 .fi .SH "Additional Services from NAG" .ti -4 (a) Documentation Each NAG fl90 site is provided with a printed copy of the NAG fl90 Manual.
