Whilst the work-around below is provided to enable this toolbox to work with MATLAB R2009b and later, we strongly advise you to use the NAG Toolbox designed for MATLAB R2009b - R2010b (MBW3222DDL) instead.
In order to use this NAG Toolbox for MATLAB with MATLAB version 7.9 (R2009b) or later, the environment variable KMP_DUPLICATE_LIB_OK must be set to TRUE in order to avoid a clash of runtime libraries which may cause MATLAB to abort.
The KMP_DUPLICATE_LIB_OK environment variable may be set from the Control Panel:
Note that although Intel suggest this solution as a work-around, they state that it is "not really recommended" and warn that it can cause performance degradation. See
Our testing suggests that this setting enables the successful use of the NAG Toolbox for MATLAB (MBW3222DCL) under MATLAB R2009b and R2010a. We are not aware of any adverse effects.
