JTC1/SC22/WG5
It incorporates the extension defined by the Technical Report:
ISO/IEC TR 19767:2005(E) Enhanced module facilities
whose final draft is visible as N1602. This was written as a Technical Report because the feature was deemed too important to wait for the next revision of the Standard.
It also incorporates all the corrections in the corrigenda to Fortran 2003, which are detailed in N1823.
The most important new features is:
Parallel programming support: SPMD parallel programming using coarrays for
data exchange
In addition, there are a considerable number of minor technical enhancements.
An unofficial summary of these enhancements is available as
N1828.
The FDIS version of the Fortran 2008 Standard is in N1830.
Two extensions of Fortran 2008 are planned to be defined by the Technical Reports:
ISO/IEC TR 29113 on "Further Interoperability of Fortran with C"
whose current draft is visible as N1838 and
ISO/IEC TR on "Further Coarray Features"
