NAG chosen as first company to be awarded Chapter status by Women-in-HPC in recognition of diversity goals
NAG believes that diversity among its workforce brings a broader range of ideas and in turn helps us develop more innovative products and services. If our workforce is diverse, just like the population, then we understand market needs better and can offer first class support. Ultimately, promoting and living diversity in the organisation ensures the best possible outcomes for NAG.
To cement our commitment to creating a diverse workforce we join many global workplace leaders in publishing gender data in our workforce. In doing this we are setting a goal in improving diversity in computing in general. We aim to actively encourage women into computing and maths and support many efforts in this campaign.
In October 2015, NAG's workforce by gender is as follows: 74% Men and 26% Women
BRINGING CODING AND COMPUTING TO LIFE
At the grassroots level we encourage girls and boys alike to be interested in coding and algorithms through our NAG School Outreach Programme. Later, when in further education we recruit students as Interns, sponsor MSc projects and PhD students, plus we host and support a plethora of Awards that recognise outstanding achievements.
