The Numerical Algorithms Group's privacy policy is designed to ensure all user information collected is maintained with the greatest care for accuracy and privacy and that it complies with current data protection legislation. This document describes the application of that policy to information collected on this web site.


We do not hold personal contact information about you unless you have provided it. We will not sell or rent your information to other organisations. How we collect and use your information?

You are not required to provide any personal contact information in order to be able to browse our website. Using the web server software we log information (including IP addresses) relating to each file accessed on our server machine. We use this to gather broad demographic information and count the number of visits to the website. NAG uses this non-personal information about visitors to track the URL that the visitor has come from (whether this URL is on the NAG website or not), the URL that the visitor goes to next (if that URL is on the NAG website), the Internet browser being used, the type of operating system used, the visitor's web server location, and the visitor's IP address. NAG may use such non-personal information for purposes including, but not limited to, improving the contents of its website, and for marketing and advertising research.
