This is README.txt for the NAG Fortran Compiler Release 6.1 for Windows. 1. System Requirements Operating System: Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, or compatible, 32-bit or 64-bit. Hardware: Pentium Pro or compatible. Disc Space: 1.44GB. 2. Platform-dependent Information 64-bit integers: YES Garbage Collection: 32-bit applications only. 128-bit reals: YES Debugger: Included as part of the Fortran Builder. 3. Installation The NAG Fortran Compiler should be installed using the provided installation program. Following installation, the Fortran Builder can be invoked using the desktop icon or the Start Menu. The compiler can also be invoked from the command prompt created by the Start Menu item "NAG Fortran Compiler Command Prompt". The installation can be tested by creating a console project with the "Hello World" template, and running it. 4. Licensing The NAG Fortran Compiler is a licence-managed product using Kusari. If you downloaded it from the web you will also need to request a licence and may need to download the licensing software. Details on installation of the licensing software and the licence are in the file KLICENCE.txt. The use of all supplied software must be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Software Licence signed by NAG and each site. Any request to use NAG software on a computer other than the one licensed must be referred to NAG. 5. Release Notes Release Notes for both the compiler and the Fortran Builder IDE are available via the Fortran Builder Help menu item. 6. Additional documentation The Fortran Builder Help also contains a Tutorial and Operation Guide for the Fortran Builder, a Fortran Language Guide, and the complete Compiler manual. The compiler manual and other compiler documentation can also be found in the Fortran Builder installation directory; in PDF in the nagfor\doc subfolder, and in HTML in the nagfor\html subfolder.
